Q. How do I know Advantage is current? How often is content
updated? Who updates the content?
A. Lawyers update content at least once a week and as often as daily when
prominent events occur, such as releases or rules and regulation updates
from the SEC. Lawyer Links also maintains indexes specifically dedicated
to new developments for easy access to just in time information.
Q. Where does the Advantage Library get source content from?
A. Lawyer Links obtains content from the SEC, Federal Register and the
authoritative public domain website for a specific topic (for example
NASD, NYSE, etc,). Lawyer Links aggregates, indexes, formats and
annotates legal content relevant to corporate legal advisors. Sources in
their original format are also available for your convenience.
Q. Does Advantage eliminate the need for other research
services and materials?
A. The Advantage is a one stop online service that is specifically
designed for corporate law research. It significantly reduces the need
for multiple online subscriptions and printed sources (such as
reporters, briefs, treatises, etc.)
Q. How much productivity can I gain from researching with the
Advantage service?
A. The Advantage typically saves 3 to 4 hours within its first use.
Q. Can I collaborate with my colleagues on research I've done using the Advantage?
A. Yes, you can share your research results by sending your colleagues links with comments on relevant Topics via your email service. If necessary, your colleague may sign-up for a
free trial.
Q. Can I return to my last research results when I log back in?
A. Yes. Click the Restore button on the Welcome Screen after logging in to reload the previous page visited.
Q. Is my research confidential?
A. All research transactions take place on a secured web site to keep your
client matters confidential. Lawyer Links only captures your time
spent for billing purposes. For more information see our

Q. My firm/company already has a corporate subscription to
Advantage. How do I get access?
A. Subscribe

Be sure to select the subscription option consistent with your
firm/company subscription. All company information must be
accurate and you must subscribe with a company email address to ensure
you receive your credentials. You may also contact your Library Services department for
assistance.

Q. What happens to my session if I forget to logout or leave my screen open?
A. After 20 minutes of inactivity the system will automatically terminate your
session and log you out. When you return, you will be offered to return to the last page you visited.

Q. What are the minimum technical requirements needed to use
Advantage?
A. To use Advantage, you’ll need a PC, Internet Connection and
Browser. Specifically you’ll need:
- Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 98(SE)/NT/2000/XP/VISTA

- Browser: Internet Explorer Version 5.5+ with JavaScript enabled. If
you do not have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later, download

- Email: Valid email address (non-public domains* must be used for
Corporate
subscriptions, .edu domains must be used for
Educational subscriptions.)
*Note: Lawyer Links will not
authorize USER IDs with email addresses from domains such as
aol.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com, msn.com, yahoo.com, *.net or other
"public" domains without verbal confirmation of the applicant's
credentials.
Q. I can’t log in to Advantage. How do I get access?

If you’ve subscribed and received an email that your account has
been activated...
Check to make sure you are trying to access the site with right Log In
information. If you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “forgot
password” link on the home page and we’ll email you your password.
Check the minimum technical requirements for using
Advantage. If these options don’t work Contact

If you have subscribed for an account and have not received an email that your account has been activated...
Continue to check your email account up to 48 hours from your
registration. If you still have not received an email at that time,
contact Customer Service.
Q. I can’t remember my username or user ID. How do I get access?
A. Use your email address to log in. Use the email address where you
received your conformation.
Q. Can I have more than one user ID?
A. Unfortunately, we only allow one user ID per individual user.
Q. Can I share my user ID with another person?
A. For billing purposes and confidentiality, Lawyer Links does not allow users
to share User IDs. More than one user can not be logged in with a single
user ID. Sharing of your user ID is strictly prohibited.
Q. My account has expired, what do I do?
A. Contact a Customer Service to discuss renewal options or technical
assistance if your subscription term has not ended.
